First Call Inks New Blog

Hello and Welcome to our new First Call Inks blog.   We will be trying to provide information on our company, our product and helpful tips for issues we may receive emails about.  If anyone has anything at all that they think we should be or would like us to delve into then please feel free to let us know.  We are very interested to hear what people would like to read about or understand.

In our first post and because you are here because you are looking for ink cartridges or toners we know our compatible inks really are the best your hard earned money can buy.  We sell a massive amount daily.  We have been selling them since 2007 and don't get any issues.  If you do have a problem then we can be contacted via email or the telephone.  We maintain a customer helpline which does seem to be quite rare these days but we see as very important as we have so many customers call and express relief at just being able to talk to someone!  Isn't it strange that in an era when communication is so easy, that we all do really prefer to talk and yet so many businesses would rather not?!

With Which? Magazine being so kind to us for so many years and their customers being even kinder, rating us top of their survey in every aspect we have decided to embrace the digital age by subscribing to Trustpilot.   Feeling that this was a great way to spread the word further about buying our incredibly good inks and toners we chose the #1 trusted review platform.  What is not to like about getting perfect printing at a fraction of the price of original Canon,  Epson,  Brother to name but a few and be able to read independent opinion regarding your potential purchase.

Amongst our customers we supply photographers, graphic designers, business users, card and calendar makers as well as home users.  We sell to large and small organisations.  Our repeat customer base is now even beyond our most optimistic expectations all those years ago in 2007.   When presented with a better option that has such a saving, people will seize the opportunity to stop wasting money on expensive ink.  When they find a supplier who offers a really decent alternative and a friendly, approachable customer service that has this novel idea that the customer is right, people return again and again.  And again!  You only have to read our lovely reviews as we are often bowled over to read what customers say about our inks and our service.  There are some very kind people out there that leave their feedback when prompted by a review invitation.  We know it can be a pain but we are really very grateful for their comments.

We try immensely hard to deal with all queries quickly and are happy to discuss any technical queries too.  In truth we probably just like a bit of a chat!  We do hope people always feel that they can ask us to help with their questions as we are just at the end of a telephone or email.  Whatever the preferred choice of contact is.

When you order from us we provide a help sheet depending on the cartridges you have purchased.  Our customers seem to like them and they outline basic information that isn't generally required but just might come in handy at some point!  It covers issues that can happen with either original or compatible ink so worth holding on to.  Although we can always pop it across in an email if you happen to misplace it.

Our shop is located in Little Common, Bexhill.  Situated just on the coast in East Sussex.  Anyone is welcome to come and buy from our shop.  A visit to Bexhill is well worth it.  You have the sea on one side and the countryside on the other.  We are very lucky indeed to be here.  Bexhill also boasts the De La Warr Pavilion, the stunning Modernist theatre built in 1935.  An architectural building that is right on our seafront where you can wander along the prom taking in the view and stopping for a coffee at one of many little cafes in the area.

But I digress!  There is an issue I would like to address here and that is our ‘search’ facility.  You will see the image so you can be sure of the search being referred to here.

Occasionally customers call and mention that they can struggle to find the inks they need.  With the search facility it can be a case of less is more.  For example, if you are looking for some HP-364xl inks, the term that would be most effective is just 364xl.  There is no need to put the HP or H in front of the numbers.  For a Canon 571xlbk ink, the easiest term would be 571.  It is only occasionally we hear that people have this problem so if you aren't one who struggles then don't stop what you are doing!  Alternatively you can also follow the links  underneath the search box.  Just click on your make of printer and then your printer model.  For example, a Brother to follow to your printer.  If anyone finds anything confusing then always feel free to call.  Our number which is advertised everywhere is 01323 430060.

What I would mention is that if you have searched on Google and found a link under their ‘Products’ section (formerly known as ‘Shopping’) the product they are showing isn't necessarily the correct one.  The links are notorious for being incorrect.  So please always search on our site or check the model/ink number that Google give you.  If you have any doubt then just call us and we will double check for you.
